Semi-Formal Presentation Report
Student Name: Ahmed Nasser
ID: H00234785
Venue: Trip to Spain.
Date and Time: 18/11/2012, 10:30 am
Introducing the topic:
Ahmed Nasser talked about Spain and his experience in Madrid and talked about the country of Spain and their traditions and cultures. What I liked about Ahmed Nasser is he didn’t stop with knowing what the picture meant; he went and searched for the names in the Spanish language and translated it in English and said who was the one who started it. The topic was well prepared and covered almost every detail and answered almost all the questions.
Presentation Style
1) Eye contact:
Ahmed Nasser had a lot of eye contact with the audience.
2) Standing on the side of the screen:
The screen was clear with clear pictures showing the smallest details.
3) Clear and loud voice:
Ahmed Nasser had a clear voice but wasn’t too loud. Sometimes he translated some of the Spanish words into a similar known word in English to make it easier for the audience to receive the idea of the slide.
4) Slide organizing:
The slides were well organized. Ahmed Nasser started his presentation by describing the country of Spain and then went on to tourism, traditions and historical sites of Spain.
5) Uses of note cards:
One of the weak points of Ahmed Nasser was relying on notes more than his memory
6) Confidence:
Ahmed was confident and well prepared; he answered most of the questions, he wasn’t stressed and there was almost no movement around the place.
The PowerPoint visuals:
The slide backgrounds were clear and helped showing the details of the pictures. The font was clear and big showing all the notes.
In my opinion the presentation was well prepared, organized and well presented.
